Reflection of one of his songs.

This song is about a problem that you can find at Colombia and also at some other places around the world, this problem is the Antipersonnel mines, they are not like common mines they are bombs that are buried under the ground or they are hidden somewhere so when people step on them they  would get hurt. Why would someone do that? Hide a bomb in the ground so someone randomly will be badly hurt? I don't find a good reason for someone to do that, and not having any reason. Juanes talks about how Colombia has been many years in conflict and how all of us (Colombians) still have hope that this war is going to end soon. On this song Juanes he focuses on the mines and how many people that have touched them end badly hurt or even die.

Our song

LYRICS

Somos Latino America-

Tenemos los mares

Tenemos cordilleras

También tenemos

Tanques de guerra

Tenemos una belleza

que es incomparable

de esa que no se ve

en cualquier parte.

Somos campesinos

que vemos el futuro

unos trabajadores

que no olvida

nada de amores

Cultivamos café

El mate también

Y Nos preocupa

por seguir adelante

Nuestra historia empezó

antes de la colonia,

antes de que llegaran

con una corona.

Luchamos por lo mismo:

por nuestra identidad

por no tener prejuicios

e ir más allá .

CORO (cantadito)

Aunque unos son blancos

y otros son negros,

unos mestizos

y otros morenos.

De aquí nadie nos saca

esta es nuestra tierra,

Tú eres mi hermano

y nadie va de guerra.
